Our newest
kicker was asked by Mr. Bill
Williams to help July 8th when
the flight of American vets
goes to Washington DC to view the
Memorial. This is quite an honor
and Larry the Cable Guy has donated
70K towards this. Kyle was very
excited. They left in the morning

Elkhorn Woman Wins Mrs.
Nebraska Title
Andrea Stine of
Elkhorn was crowned Mrs. Nebraska
2008 Saturday night at Omaha’s
Westside High School. Stine competed
against 14 married women to bring
home the title. Jennifer Hart of
Elkhorn was named first runner-up.
"The crowning was so surreal. When Jennifer and I were standing there waiting for the final announcement, I kept wondering if it really was happening,” Stine said. “When she was announced as the first runner-up, I literally went weak in the knees.”
As the new Mrs. Nebraska, Stine will go on to compete in the Mrs. America Pageant in Tucson, Ariz., on Sept. 2. Just as with the state pageant, contestants compete in three areas: interview, swimsuit and evening gown. All contestants are married and involved in serving community causes and charities. She won a prize package in excess of $10,000.
Stine suffers from a lifelong hearing loss, and has been an advocate of the hearing impaired. She regularly volunteers at Boys Town National Research Hospital and also serves other community charities. This year, she will act as a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Nebraska Chapter.
“I hope to look back on this year and see that I have made a tangible difference,” explained Stine. “If I can provide comfort or a smile to someone grappling with a difficult issue such as hearing loss or breast cancer, I will be grateful to have had the opportunity.”
Other runners-up included, Karalyn Hoefer of Friend, 2nd runner-up; Lisa Grint of Sargent, 3rd runner-up; and Marlo Tomich of Omaha, 4th runner-up.
Stine, 28, and her husband, Grant, have two children, Ella and Barron. Follow along with Andrea's journey as Mrs. Nebraska at www.mrsnebraska.blogspot.com For more information on the Mrs. AmericaPageant visit www.mrsamerica.com
